We asked 2,000 women living in the UK:

How would you feel if your partner got you a Valentine’s Day gift that was in the sale?

  • 59% of women said “Don’t care, it’s the thought that counts”
  • 10% of women would be disappointed if they received a gift for Valentine’s Day that was bought in the sale
  • 11% of women would think it was great and that their partner was super thrifty for buying in the sale
  • 6% of women would very disappointed if they received a gift for Valentine’s Day that was bought in the sale
  • 15% of 18-24 year old women would be disappointed if they received a gift for Valentine’s Day that was bought in the sale
  • 21% of women in Northern Ireland would be disappointed if they received a gift for Valentine’s Day that was bought in the sale
