Last week, we paired up with the mavens of affordable design,, to host a the Made to Be challenge for interior decor and DIY bloggers. The reason? Why, the chance to win a gorgeous piece of furniture, of course!

We asked participating bloggers to chose one of these snazzy offerings from and write a post about why they love it and how they’d incorporate into their home or office space.

As we expected, the range of choices and ideas were stellar. Here are a few of our favourites:

  • With her eye on the Cornell Desk, Samantha of Style, Space & Stuff envisioned a neutrals-based colour palette and put together a lovely mood board to show how she’d put it to use.
  • Over at the Owl in the Teacup, Claire created a bold, retro look for her new living room by styling the chic Hooper Table with a graphic rug and funky polygon-shaped shelves. Groovy.
  • Vicky of Blush Crafts knows how important it is to have a good light source when you’re trying to wrangle all sorts of teeny bits and bobs — so she picked the elegant Treasury Floor Lamp to help illuminate her craft room. Brilliant!

These inspiring bloggers did such an awesome job we wish we could ship each and every one their chosen product ASAP. But sadly, in the end, we had to pick just one.

Sarah, whose runs Daisy Chains & Dreamers, was our stand-out entrant. Not only did she style the Cornell Desk with a variety of other bright, fresh products, she also got into the nitty-gritty details, like desktop organisation and wall decor. Plus, she included a “before” picture of the space in her home where she’d put the desk, helping us visualise how all the elements would fit together.

Congratulations Sarah! Your very own Cornell Desk is on its way.

A HUGE thank you to and all of the ah-ma-zing bloggers who took part in the challenge. See ya next time!
